- Sheffield United vs Chelsea: Yes – It’s been a rather entertaining return to action for Chelsea, whose four games thus far since the break have ended 2-1, 2-3, 3-0 and 3-2. Effervescent in attack, the Blues are struggling defensively without the injured Fikayo Tomori and N’Golo Kante. It’s pretty much now or ever for Sheffield United in their quest for top six, and Chris Wilder will send the Blades out fully intent on winning the three points.
- Wolves vs Everton: No – It’s pretty evident to anyone that watches them that Carlo Ancelotti is focusing on the defensive side of Everton’s game, writing off the 2019/20 campaign as he builds for next. They’ve only scored three and conceded the same in their last four, while BTTS has landed just twice in Wolves’ last ten outings.
- Charlton Athletic vs Reading: No – In their quest to avoid relegation from the Championship, Charlton have decided to try and grind out results and that’s why in their last six games four have ended either 1-0 or 0-1 and another has finished 0-0. Reading beat Luton 5-0 a week or so ago, but that was something of an anomaly for the Royals and the 0-0 draw with Huddersfield last time out was more their norm.
- Blackburn Rovers vs West Brom: Yes – With Ahmed Hegazy suspended and Kieran Gibbs and Nathan Ferguson injured, there are vulnerabilities in defence for West Brom and Hull twice found a way through in their last game. Blackburn score their fair share of goals – they put three past Cardiff last time out, but they can’t defend for toffee and have shipped two or more goals in five of their last six games.
- Hull City vs Millwall: Yes – We’re getting to the point of the season where desperation is kicking in, and that’s arguably the case – at contrasting ends of the table – for Hull City and Millwall. A cagey opening could give way to a frantic, open second half should either side get ahead. Hull’s last three games have witnessed 15 goals, incidentally.
