- Southampton vs Arsenal: Yes – Many punters will be opposing Arsenal here, but you would argue that goals-based wagers offer just as much value given the profile of the two teams. Southampton looked really sharp in victory over Norwich on Friday, but it is worth remembering that only the Canaries and Aston Villa have conceded more than the Saints this term. The Gunners, for all their woes, still have a goal or two in them.
- Brentford vs West Brom: Yes – Two of the Championship’s most proficient attacking sides lock horns on Friday evening, and if all goes as expected it could be a real humdinger. Brentford may be without Bryan Mbuemo, who has been struck down with the virus, but that didn’t slow them down against Fulham in their 2-0 win over Fulham. West Brom are no strangers to a goal themselves, and with just eight points separating them from the Bees you can be sure that a goal either way early in this game will open things right up.
- Stoke City vs Middlesbrough: No – Some 13 years after claiming he was retiring from management, Neil Warnock is back and he is back doing what he does best – taking a down-and-out outfit like Middlesbrough and trying to breathe life into them. He will start from the defence forward, and so a clean sheet will be his major objective here. Stoke aren’t a bad side, but they have failed to score in one-in-three outings this term and so this has the hallmark of a dour contest.
- Bristol City vs Sheffield Wednesday: Yes – Sheffield Wednesday cut through the defensively stout Nottingham Forest with ease on Sunday, creating 2.02 xG from five or six really good chances. That stands them in good stead against a perennially entertaining Bristol City outfit – their 38 games have now delivered a staggering 108 goals.
- Werder Bremen vs FC Koln: Yes – It’s the final week of the regular Bundesliga season, and there is plenty on the line for Werder Bremen who need to win here to have any chance of avoiding automatic relegation.
