- Everton vs Manchester United: Yes – Since switching to a 3-5-2 system under Carlo Ancelotti, Everton have created stacks of big chances and scored ten goals in their last five games. However, they have shipped in all of those as well, so BTTS is a prime candidate here. Manchester United have actually kept three clean sheets in a row, but there are still doubts about some of their defensive personnel and Everton will give them a tough examination here.
- Blackburn Rovers vs Swansea City: Yes – Two sides with plenty of attacking intent meet here in Lancashire. Blackburn’s front three of Armstrong, Samuel and Gallagher is dangerous, and they are doing a fine job of cancelling out the loss of injured Bradley Dack – they’ve netted seven in their last three games. Within their last four games Swansea have won 3-1, lost 2-3 and drawn 4-4, and that gives a handy insight into how they like to get on the front foot with mixed success.
- Fulham vs Preston: Yes – While the recent form guide does not make for pretty reading for these sides, both are still creating plenty of big chances according to the Expected Goals data. And with defensive absentees on both teams, and a match of huge importance in the promotion battle, we have to fancy there will be chances at both ends of the pitch.
- QPR vs Birmingham City: Yes – Just four Championship teams have breached the 50-goal mark so far this season, and QPR are one of them. In theory, the Hoops should be higher than their mid-table position but they simply can’t defend: a whopping 59 goals shipped in 35 outings. BTTS has landed in eleven of the last twelve Birmingham games, the latest of which being their entertaining 3-3 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
- Sheffield Wednesday vs Derby County: Yes – A change of tact saw Sheffield Wednesday look far more aggressive and attacking against Birmingham, and while 3-3 is not the scoreline they wanted they looked far better for a more dynamic approach. As for Derby, the last time they failed to score in a league game was December 21, with BTTS landing in 10 of that 12-game run.
