- Arsenal vs Burnley: Yes – The Gunners kept a clean sheet on Sunday at Newcastle, but their makeshift defence was never really tested. The likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, a converted winger, and Calum Chambers don’t scream defensive solidity, and while David Luiz could feature he is short of match fitness. Burnley scored home and away against Arsenal last term, and after putting three past Southampton on the opening day they may just fancy the job.
- Wolves vs Manchester United: Yes – In the 21 Premier League games that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has overseen as Manchester United manager they have kept just six clean sheets. One of those came on Sunday, but Chelsea twice hit the woodwork and got into good positions on a number of occasions. Wolves, while not prolific, have some very talented attacking players and they will be looking to take full advantage.
- Metz vs Monaco: No – Metz returned to Ligue 1 with a 1-1 draw at Strasbourg, a result they were very fortunate to get after being wholly outplayed. A lack of attacking intent could hamper them this term, but against Monaco – who averaged just a goal per game last season – a low-scoring bunfight is inevitable. The visitors are without Fabregas (suspended) and Jovetic (injured) too.
- Brentford vs Hull City: Yes – Both of these teams play with a pleasing attacking intent, and so BTTS seems fair game here. The Bees threw the kitchen sink at Birmingham without scoring, but they found the net at Middlesbrough and seem to be coping without Neal Maupay. Hull, meanwhile, have plenty of creative options in Grosicki, Bowen, Irvine and the statuesque Tom Eaves.
- Stoke City vs Derby County: Yes – At Charlton last week Stoke boss Nathan Jones fielded Lee Gregory, Scott Hogan and Tom Ince, with Sam Vokes and Tyrese Campbell on the bench. That tells you how the Potteries outfit are going to go about their business this term. Derby are blessed with attacking options too, and they created plenty of quality chances – without success – in the 0-0 draw with Swansea last time out.
