  • Chicago Fire vs Real Salt Lake: Yes – There are various international tournaments going on around the world, and the Gold Cup has shorn Chicago of the services of key defender Francisco Calvo. The Fire have shipped ten goals in their last four outings too, but 18 goals scored in seven home games tells its own tale. BTTS has landed in five of Salt Lake’s last seven matches.
  • Vancouver Whitecaps vs Colorado Rapids: Yes – It’s easy to like Colorado Rapids here, who have won four of their last five games and who have hardly been affected by the international fixtures. Vancouver, meanwhile, have three first team regulars away with Canada, including star keeper Maxime Crepeau and centre back Doneil Henry. But the Rapids aren’t renowned for their defending, and the Whitecaps have their normal attacking forces present and correct.
  • Portland Timbers vs Houston Dynamo: Yes – Less than a week ago Portland were evens to win this game, but they’re now into 8/11 after sharp punters cottoned onto the fact that Houston are without key men in Quioto, Elis and Figueroa. We do expect a home win, but don’t write off the Dynamo from scoring: messrs Manotas, Martinez and Memo Rodriguez are all more than capable.
  • Columbus Crew vs Sporting Kansas City: No – With Gyasi Zardes away on international duty and Federico Higuain injured, the Crew have lost seven goals and four assists from their starting line-up. Only four of their other players have scored this season, and this could be a low-scoring contest from their perspective. Goals do follow Sporting KC around, but they are not good travellers and seven scored in seven trips is the kind of form that can be opposed.
  • Dalkurd vs Vasteras: Yes – Home matches in which Dalkurd have played have been joyous occasions for the neutral, with 22 goals scored in just six outings. Vasteras, in poor form, appeared to have turned a corner with an attacking 2-0 win over Frej Taby, and they maintained their front foot approach at Degerfors where they went down to a last-minute goal in a 2-3 defeat. They will attack here once more.
