Three winners, a push and a loss: that was the sum of our football accumulator tips last time out.
Lille dominated their game against Montpellier but couldn’t quite find a winner – our Draw No Bet stake was returned to us, while Scunthorpe, who were third in the League One form table, lost at Gillingham, who were in the bottom three.
It was one of those weeks where we simply have to sigh and accept our fate; you win some, you lose some!

Bournemouth vs Wolverhampton Wanderers: Wolves/Draw Double Chance
Bournemouth are struggling with injuries at the moment, with first team regulars Callum Wilson, David Brooks, Junior Stanislas and Simon Francis all struggling for fitness.
In the case of the former pair, it is very hard for a club like the Cherries to replace their most potent marksman and key creator, and their output is harmed immeasurably.
As for Wolves, much has been written about their excellent first season in the top flight, and let’s be honest: a seventh place finish would be a tremendous campaign for the Midlanders.
They are solid enough on the road (W5 D3 L4), and on an unbeaten run of four in the Premier League they will surely have the confidence to put their opponents to the sword here.
Norwich City vs Bristol City: Norwich Draw No Bet
We all love a good stat, but sometimes there’s more to the numbers than we might otherwise think.
Bristol City have been making the headlines recently for being the only English team with a 100% record in 2019, but the truth is rather less sexy.
In that six-game run, five of their opponents have come from the bottom half of the table, and four of the wins have been by a solitary goal.
So, that’s not to write the Robins off, but clearly Norwich are a class above what they have been tackling of late.
The Canaries bounced back from their defeat to Preston in fine style, hammering an admittedly terrible Bolton side 4-0 at the weekend.
Norwich’s form – W4 D1 L1 GF16 GA7 – is such that they are hard to resist here at what is an excellent price.
Blackpool vs Oxford United: Blackpool/Draw Double Chance
Blackpool have been one of the most impressive League One teams of late, embarking on a seven-game unbeaten run which has included five clean sheets.
The Tangerines have been fairly solid on home soil all season (W7 D5 L4), and the news that the detested Oyston family have been forced to sell the club only increases the good vibes further.
It depends on whether you’re a glass half full or empty merchant when looking at Oxford’s form. They’ve only lost one of their last six – decent for a side battling relegation, but four of those games have ended in a draw, and if we widen the lens further we note they have won just one of their last ten.
Karl Robinson’s side STILL haven’t won on the road this term (W0 D10 L5), and there’s no reason to suggest that run will come to an end against a buoyant Blackpool.
Dijon vs St Etienne: St Etienne Draw No Bet
The bad news keeps on coming for Dijon.
They’ve lost three games on the spin in Ligue 1, and now they head into Friday’s clash with St Etienne without the suspended defensive duo of Oussama Haddadi and Wesley Lautoa; no player has played more minutes for the club this season than this pairing.
The hosts will have their work cut out against a decent St Etienne side, and their inconsistent formline is something of a misnomer.
A run of W4 D2 L3 is not the end of the world by any means, and those three defeats have come against PSG, Lyon and a solid Rennes side.
The reverse fixture ended 3-0 to St Etienne back in December, and we’re expecting them to enjoy taking on an also-ran after their tough schedule lately.
Girona vs Real Sociedad: Girona/Draw Double Chance
There’s no top goalscorer, Willian Jose, nor Asier Illarramendi (started 20 of 24 games) or Theo Hernandez (17 of 24) for Real Sociedad, and so hosts Girona should be respected here.
Girona beat Real Madrid last time out, and having avoided defeat in 7/12 on home soil they look worth a punt here.
The visitors have won 5/12 on the road, and with no Willian Jose, who has contributed 30% of their goals this term, we wouldn’t necessarily expect them to extend that run here.
