Colorado Rapids vs Vancouver Whitecaps – Yes (1/2)
Colorado might sit bottom of the Western Conference at this point but it’s not all doom and gloom: they average nearly two goals per game scored on home soil – a whopping 85% of their total haul.
The Rapids have lost six on the spin, however, and so clearly when playing in front of their own supporters they become of BTTS interest.
Vancouver have drawn their last four games, with a trio of 2-2 and a single 3-3 stalemate confirming that they are prime BTTS fodder. They have conceded more goals from open play than any other this term.
New York City vs Orlando City – Yes (1/2)
With David Villa, Maxi Moralez and Ismael Tajouri all dovetailing in attack, it is little wonder that New York City have scored more goals from open play than any other in the MLS.
They are strong at home defensively too, but their penchant for conceding a goal or two – 19 in 13 to be exact – does open the door for Orlando.
They will be without midfield maestro Yoshi Yotun, who is away on international duty with Peru, but Sacha Kljestan and Dom Dwyer remain a forceful presence in attack.
FC Dallas vs Los Angeles City – Yes (8/15)
Both teams to score has hit the mark in four of Dallas’ last five outings, and perhaps the most pertinent point is that they have shipped two goals in both of their most recent home games.
That confirms the attacking philosophy of head coach Oscar Pareja; no big surprise from the man they used to call the ‘little general’.
Los Angeles will come and meet fire with fire, too. Their formline is confusing because they played their first six games of the season away from home, due to ground availability issues, and then four back on their own patch.
But those away days….well, they feature 5-1 and 5-3 wins, and 0-5 and 3-4 defeats. It would be fair to say that goals follow these LA players whenever they climb on board the plane.
Orgryte IS vs Falkenbergs – Yes (7/10)
It’s the big one: the meeting between top and second in Sweden’s Superettan this weekend.
The hosts, who are one point behind their opponents, are on a tricky run after losing two of their last three. But they boast a decent record at home, having won four from four with comprehensive scorelines of 2-1, 2-0, 3-1 and 4-1 helping to boost confidence.
Falkenbergs, meanwhile, have gone on their merry way, winning seven out of ten to top the pile at this early juncture.
But they have conceded at least once in 7/10, and a 4-3 win over Brage shows that they are vulnerable defensively on the road.
Brazil vs Croatia – Yes (11/10)
In a week of slim pickings as far as available fixtures are concerned, let’s try this friendly between Brazil and Croatia at Anfield.
We have a tasty odds-against price to enjoy, and we would certainly expect Brazil to score here; they have a number of players, including Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho, who are very comfy playing at Liverpool’s home.
But can Croatia find the net? They certainly have plenty of talented attacking talents, and this being a friendly match you would expect both coaches to make plenty of substitutions throughout the match.
That could lend itself to defensive uncertainty, and so it is worth chancing BTTS here at such a lofty price.
