- Aston Villa vs Burnley – The Villa failed something of a gut check on Sunday: 2-1 up at Arsenal and with Gunners down to ten men, there’s no way Dean Smith’s men should have returned home without at least a point – clearly, confidence is fragile. As for Burnley, they’ve only lost twice this season against Liverpool and Arsenal, so this is the kind of game they relish.
- Chelsea vs Brighton – Despite a few disappointing results, confidence is coursing through the veins of Chelsea’s attacking players right now – only Man City and Liverpool have scored more in the Premier League, and they also blasted seven past Grimsby in midweek. To clear this handicap they might only have to score two against Brighton, whose own attacking options are limited without Murray, Maupay and Trossard.
- Manchester United vs Arsenal – You may have read as much, and statistically Manchester United haven’t been bad at all this season. Indeed, 11/8 on them to beat an Arsenal side that can’t defend for toffee is more than fair game. Wait for the team news, and if one of Rashford or Martial is declared fit be sure to get involved.
- Blackpool vs Lincoln City – You wondered how the departure of Danny Cowley might affect Lincoln: their 0-6 loss last time out explains all we need to know. He and brother Nicky have led the Imps to plenty of success, and the players must feel lost without their dual mentors. Blackpool will be looking to take full advantage.
- Ipswich Town vs Tranmere Rovers – It’s a short price but it’s still good value on Ipswich, who top League One having kept an incredible five consecutive clean sheets. Tranmere are giving it a decent go in the third tier, but they have shipped two or more goals in four of their last five games, and that will trouble the Merseysiders.
