It was a steady 3/5 for this column last week, with Bournemouth and Walsall keeping the rarest of clean sheets to scupper our hopes of landing the full monty.
There were still some nice individual winners in there at good prices though, not least the 10/11 about the Celta Vigo and Valencia affair delivering BTTS.
There’s a slight format change this week with the FA Cup fourth round, but there are still plenty of games for us to go at across the continent.
So, here are this week’s both teams to score betting tips.

Millwall vs Everton – Yes (10/11)
This is a stinky fixture that Everton would dearly love to be without.
A trip to the New Den to take on the Lions is hardly fun at the best of times, but when Millwall have underdog status – buoyed by a Saturday evening kick off which will guarantee a crackling atmosphere, well, all the hallmarks of an upset are there.
The Merseysiders have lost five of their last seven in the Premier League too, which hardly helps matters.
Millwall won three on the spin during the festive period, and drew away with Middlesbrough last time out, so they will be quietly confident in front of their home fans. They’ve gone W6 D4 L4 in Championship action at the Den thus far.
Blackburn Rovers vs Hull City – Yes (4/6)
Hull are in such good form right now that we expect them to score wherever they go, so hosts Blackburn will have to be at it here.
The Tigers had won six on the spin prior to Saturday’s trip to Villa Park, and while they couldn’t hold on there after taking a 2-0 lead they still came away with credit in a 2-2 stalemate.
Blackburn, meanwhile, have netted in 23 of 28 Championship outings this term, and all of their key attacking talents – Bradley Dack, Danny Graham, Adam Armstrong and co – are fit and raring to go.
The problems are defensive, where Charlie Mulgrew and Derrick Williams remain sidelined by injury. They may have kept back-to-back clean sheets without them, but Hull will present an almighty test of mettle here.
Atalanta vs Roma – Yes (1/2)
There is a wonderful carefree attitude to Atalanta, who are now Serie A’s top goalscorers with 44 in 20.
A whopping 13 of those have come in the past three weeks, and so they are buzzing with confidence right now.
As for Roma, you suspect they will be game opposition and look to play on the front foot as much as possible.
They have netted two or more goals in six of their last seven outings, but have just one clean sheet to their name since early October.
Hopefully, the omens live up to their billing and this descends into entertaining chaos.
Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt – Yes (1/2)
When you do the maths, you find that Werder Bremen’s home matches in the Bundesliga average 3.44 goals per game and Frankfurt’s away a solid 3.00.
Nobody can be surprised then that these two are the German top flight’s BTTS specialists, with the magic mark landing in an epic 15/18 Werder matches this term and a not-inconsiderable 13/18 for the visitors.
Prior to last week’s 1-0 win over Hannover, the last time Bremen failed to deliver a BTTS verdict was back in October, while Frankfurt have scored in all bar one of their nine away dates thus far.
Strasbourg vs Bordeaux – Yes (19/20)
A lovely price here for a game which could well see goals at both ends.
Strasbourg’s attacking play is outstanding. Since the start of December, they have scored 17 times in seven games, with nine individual scorers. That bodes very well indeed.
Unfortunately, they have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight and have shipped in 17/21 all told. The absence of first choice centre back Stefan Mitrovic through suspension is another spanner in the works.
Bordeaux aren’t pulling up any trees, but they too have found a rich vein of goalscoring form since the start of December. They put two past PSG – not many sides can say they’ve done that, and three by high-flying St Etienne.
