We enjoyed a very solid 4/5 return last week in this column, with our returns particularly aided by a goal-laden week in the MLS.
Indeed, had Alaves netted at Sevilla then we would have also trousered a near 8/1 accumulator winner, but thems the breaks.
We have kissed goodbye to European club football, by and large, for 2017/18, and so we will be mostly concentrating on the Americas until the World Cup comes to town!

Real Madrid vs Liverpool – Yes (2/5)
It’s not a selection that is going to make us rich by any means, but when Real Madrid and Liverpool battle it out you have to expect goals to duly follow.
Sometimes you just don’t need the stats to back up the obvious, but the fact that Liverpool conceded an average of a goal a game in the Premier League – and shipped six in 180 minutes against Roma – tells us all we need to know. Real Madrid’s forward line running at Lovren, Alexander-Arnold and co? Reds fans will be expecting to concede.
But they have their own holy trinity in attack in Salah, Mane and Firmino, and they will look to hurt a Real Madrid side that has conceded 69 goals in 50 La Liga and Champion League games combined this term.
If Dani Carvajal is struggling with injury as rumoured, and Marcelo doesn’t rein in his attacking instincts, Liverpool’s wide men could run riot.
Vancouver Whitecaps vs New England Revolution – Yes (1/2)
Vancouver have drawn their last three games 2-2, which gives a handy indicator as to how they go about their business.
They have conceded more goals than any other MLS outfit from open play, but at the other end of the pitch they can call upon the services of the prolific Kei Kamara, one of only ten players with 100 or more MLS goals to their name. He’s notched another four already this season.
New England are a decent BTTS shout because their goals come from all over the pitch: Cristian Penilla, Teal Bunbury, Wilfried Zahibo and Diego Fagundez have all notched three or more this term.
The Revolution have kept just one clean sheet in six, however.
Orlando City vs Chicago Fire – Yes (4/7)
The fact that Orlando’s seven home games have witnessed 29 goals (16 for, 13 against) is instructive of their breakneck attacking play on home soil.
Indeed, each of their last five has delivered on the BTTS front, and there is further good news for punters with Dom Dwyer, their key frontman, likely to return from injury as midfield enforcer, Yotun, heads off on international duty.
Chicago Fire were pretty awful against Houston last time out despite taking a 2-1 lead in the 2-3 defeat, and their lengthy injury list means they rely so heavily on the prolific Nemanja Nikolic and the still-class Bastian Schweinsteiger.
But Orlando’s penchant for conceding home goals simply cannot be overlooked.
Coventry City vs Exeter City – Yes (5/6)
The stakes are so high in this League Two play-off that you almost feel sorry for the players involved; both sets of fans will be desperate for the win at Wembley.
For Coventry, it’s a chance to exorcise the demons of the last few years, which have seen the club go into free-fall mode. But they’ve rallied, brought through some exciting young players and are now 90 minutes away from League One. Both of their semi-finals against Notts County witnessed BTTS, as did five of their last six during the regular league season.
For Exeter, this is a chance for them to enter the third tier of English football – a remarkable achievement for such a small, family-run club. Six of their last eight games have also delivered on the BTTS front.
Botafogo vs Vitoria – Yes (17/20)
Goals tend to be a rare luxury in Brazil’s Serie A, but we have found two teams who might just put on a barnburner for us.
Botafogo are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, with all three of their home ties delivering BTTS (2-1, 2-1 and 1-1).
And take a look at Vitoria, for whom BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals has landed in each of their half-dozen outing thus far!
