It was a week to forget largely for our both teams to score betting tips last time out, with just 2/5 hitting the spot.
The confusion wasn’t aided by both Wycombe and Bayer Leverkusen drawing rare blanks; perhaps their attacking players are, psychologically at least, already on their summer holidays?
Joking aside, it is a worthy consideration at this time of the season. Where motivation levels are low we expect lazy, action-less performances to go with it, so from now until the end of the campaign we’ll only be selecting teams with something to play for – that should get them playing on the front foot!

Everton vs Liverpool: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
What a week this is for Liverpool: not content with this Merseyside derby – the one that most of their fans want to win more than any other, there’s the small matter of the two-legged Champions League quarter-final with Manchester City to consider.
Three high profile games in a week….that’ll take it out of you, and don’t forget this is a Reds squad already stretched defensively by the absence of the injured Joel Matip and Joe Gomez.
Everton are no great shakes as we know, but they do have a habit of finding the net: doing so in eight of their last nine Premier League outings. And if we ignore the 1-3 reverse at the hands of Manchester City on Saturday, we note they are typically good at home too, winning three on the spin prior to the City game and scoring seven times in the process.
Leeds United vs Sunderland: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
The last time Leeds kept a clean sheet dinosaurs roamed the earth; okay, a slight exaggeration, but they have shipped in ten of their last eleven and nine of those witnessed the Yorkshiremen conceding two or more.
Ostensibly they have nothing to play for, but in reality with a cut-throat chairman and a new manager at the helm this is a bunch of players that are playing for their futures in the famous white shirts.
Sunderland need a miracle to stay up, but they won’t stop trying; Chris Coleman simply wouldn’t allow that.
The fact they beat Derby 4-1 in their last away date is testament to that, and it is interesting to note that the Black Cats have picked up more points on the road than on home soil this term. They have scored more away goals than the likes of Cardiff, Brentford and Sheffield United too.
Bristol Rovers vs Charlton Athletic: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
Their 0-1 defeat to Fleetwood last time out was just the second time in thirteen games than Bristol Rovers had failed to find the net.
They’ll be more gregarious at the Memorial Stadium, however, where they have scored an eye-opening 34 times in just 19 games this term. Indeed, they have netted in 17/19 on home soil this term.
A caretaker manager can revitalise a team’s fortunes after a poor run under a previous manager, and it would appear that Lee Bowyer has revitalised the Addicks who have now won three on the spin.
With nine goals scored in that trio of outings, confidence won’t be in short supply.
Oxford vs Oldham: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
These two sides are in danger of being sucked into the relegation battle, and judging by their form this season both will try and score their way out of trouble.
Having scored 55 and 52 goals respectively this term, Oxford and Oldham are the highest scorers in the bottom half of League One; which leaves punters no doubts as to how poor they are defensively; hence their lowly league placings.
Despite their poor form BTTS has landed in 12/16 for Oxford, while Oldham have scored two or more goals in three of their last four on the road.
Barnet vs Forest Green: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
It’s panic stations for two of League Two’s worst defences: Barnet and Forest Green have conceded at least once in 90% and 88% of their league outings respectively.
The Bees are at least buzzing at their Hive Stadium home, having found the net in seven of their last eight in front of their own supporters.
Forest Green have been even more impressive in front of goal, netting in each of their last ten games. The spectre of relegation is looming large over both of these outfits.
