A so-so week last time out with 3/5 selections landing at healthy priced of 7/10, 4/5 and 3/4, which cumulatively netted a profit for the week.
On average, there are around ten rounds of matches to be played in the biggest leagues around Europe, and it is at roughly this time each year that the desperation ratchets up a notch or two. That can only be a good thing for BTTS backers.
So sticking to our current strategy of in-form and confident away teams, here are this week’s both teams to score betting tips:

Brighton vs Arsenal – Yes (7/10)
Brighton produced arguably their best performance of the season in demolishing the in-form Swansea 4-1 on Saturday, and that takes their tally to seven goals in their last two outings at the Amex Stadium.
Assuming that the Seagulls don’t go into their shells here they stand an excellent chance of finding the net against a beleaguered Arsenal outfit that were hopeless in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
The Gunners conceded three there, which we can add to the sixteen they have shipped in their last nine Premier League outings. One of Arsene Wenger’s many faults is that he still hasn’t sorted his side’s defence out, and Brighton can take full advantage this week.
Derby County vs Fulham – Yes (4/6)
Derby have only lost once since the start of December – a run spanning 15 Championship matches.
But Gary Rowett will be concerned at how vulnerable his side have been defensively of late: shipping two or more goals in each of their last three.
Fulham beat Wolves last time out so they will be brimming with confidence, and remarkably they have scored at least once in each of their last 12 matches; a run that started before Christmas!
Bradford City vs Portsmouth – Yes (3/4)
Bradford are in absolute freefall at the moment – their last win came on New Year’s Day, with six defeats following in the eight games played since.
The Bantams will be hoping that Portsmouth’s lengthy trip north on England’s snowy motorways will somehow throw them off their game, although with three defeats in their last four Pompey are hardly setting League One alight at present.
That said, they tend to travel well having won at MK Dons and Fleetwood of late, and with BTTS hitting the spot in five of their last six – and in 11 of Bradford’s last 14! – we have to get amongst it.
Crawley Town vs Wycombe Wanderers – Yes (4/6)
Crawley’s resurgence has come to a slight halt of late with two defeats in three, but the bigger picture here is that they remain steadfast in their willingness to attack under Harry Kewell.
Since the start of December, they have scored in 12/15, conceded in 11/15 and certainly provided their fans with plenty of value for money.
Even though they have lost two on the spin, Wycombe will embark on the Checkatrade.com Stadium with a swagger; their away record this term of W8 D5 L4 is the second best in the division.
The Chairboys have a bit of serving up high-scoring games; indeed, within their last ten league outings they have won 2-1, 3-2 (three times!) and 4-3, as well as suffering a 2-4 defeat.
SPAL vs Bologna – Yes (19/20)
After a goalless streak of three games against Napoli, AC Milan and Cagliari, SPAL did what they have been doing all season up until now against Crotone: scoring (three) and conceding (two) goals!
It harks back to that incredible 13-game streak where they netted at least once in a dozen of those and BTTS landed in 11/13 – at a price of 19/20, we’re delighted to be on side here.
Bologna could be game, too. They’ve won their last two matches – breeding confidence, which is key for the away leg of a BTTS bet – and both teams to score has landed in four of their last five. In their last two away games they have scored against Napoli and Inter!
