£10 to £1000 Challenge: Attempt 14, Week 3 Betting Tips

Well, this is more like it. It’s almost Sod’s Law that at the end of the regulation season in Europe we’ve gotten onto something of a roll with this £10 to £1000 Challenge; cruising into Week 3 with no alarms.

We’re going to continue our attempts at the challenge throughout the summer, and so a little creativity on our part – plus stacks of luck – will be required to ensure we can maintain our decent form.

But it’s a case of so far, so good for this attempt….can we keep it going into Week 3? Here’s a recap of last week’s results:

  • Bet 5: Granada vs Espanyol: Espanyol +1.25 Asian Handicap – This pick landed nicely enough with Espanyol taking the spoils 2-1.
  • Bet 6: Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig: Leipzig +1.00 Asian Handicap – Leipzig ended their fine Bundesliga campaign with a 2-2 draw in Frankfurt.
  • Bet 7: Rennes vs Monaco: Monaco +1.25 Asian Handicap – A hugely entertaining game ended 3-2 to Monaco.
  • Bet 8: Arsenal vs Everton: Arsenal +1 Handicap – Despite being reduced to ten men, the Gunners were still able to wrap up a comfortable 3-1 victory.

So we carry £24.59 forward into Week 3….now let’s find another four winning selections.

Bet 9: Aldovisi vs Independiente: Independiente/Draw Double Chance – £24.59 at 2/11

Friday May 26, 23:00

We’re stopping by Argentina for our first pick in Week 3, and backing a side that is yet to lose in 2017.

Okay, so the break over Christmas meant that Independiente didn’t get started again until March, but since then they are undefeated in ten (W6 D4 L0). Tellingly, five of those six victories have come by a margin of two goals or more.

The visitors boast the best away record in the division too (W8 D2 L1), and that should be enough to warm the cockles of punters against a side currently sitting 25th (of 30) in the Primera Division.

Bet 10: Kashiwa Reysol vs Omiya Ardija: Kashiwa/Draw Double Chance – £17.88 at 1/8

Saturday May 27, 07:00

Let’s hope you are an early riser, as this match from the Japanese J-League has home win written all over it.

We’re covering our tracks with the Double Chance punt as normal, and we’re more than pleased with that. You see, Kashiwa have won six games in a row – keeping four clean sheets in the process.

Look, we know next to nothing about Japanese football, but Omiya Ardija are bottom of the table with a goal difference of -17 after 12 games. It’s a no brainer selection, isn’t it?

Bet 11: Pohang vs Gangwon: Over 0.5 Goals – £19.87 at 1/12

Saturday May 27, 10:00

You know we said we knew next to nothing about Japanese football? Yeah, we’re not too hot on South Korea either. But, on the face of it, this looks like one of those infamous ‘banker’ bets.

There have been 12 weeks of the K League Classic campaign, and so far Gangwon have failed to keep a clean sheet at all and only failed to score once.

Their hosts, Pohang, are none too shabby either, conceding and scoring at least one goal in 10/12 starts thus far. One of these sides will find the net, won’t they?

Bet 12: Kalmar vs GIF Sundsvall: Under 4.5 Goals – £21.86 at 1/10

Saturday May 27, 15:00

Sweden is a lovely country to be in at any time of the year, and this weekend we’re sending our love to the Swedes in a game that doesn’t exactly have goal-fest written all over it.

So far this term Kalmar have kept five clean sheets in their last seven games and also failed to find the net in five as well; no prizes for guessing where their focus lies.

Sundsvall are no more enterprising: they too have that 5/7 ratio of clean sheets and firing blanks, and remarkably only 3/10 this season have witnessed both teams scoring. This won’t be one for the purest, then.
