Let’s not dwell on Attempt 6 of the £10 to £1000 Challenge, and instead reflect on the fact that Metz and Marseille didn’t want to go toe-to-toe in the goals stakes as we had expected. It’s embarrassing, but with a raft of excellent results behind us we must march on with confidence.
The goals and Double Chance formula has worked well for us so far, so let’s stick to our guns with Attempt 7. Kicking us off, here are this week’s £10 to £1000 Challenge selections:

Southampton are in danger of getting sucked into a relegation battle if they don’t start defending better. Yes, they have lost Virgil van Dijk to injury and Jose Fonte to West Ham, but that’s no excuse for keeping just one clean sheet in eight league outings. They’ve now lost six of their last seven, shipping 14 goals in the process.
Sunderland are no great shakes but they are at least showing application and desire – evidenced by their 4-0 hammering of Crystal Palace last time out. Adnan Januzaj reminded us of how good he could be, and Jermain Defoe remains as predatory as ever. Bizarrely the Black Cats are actually pretty good in front of goal, netting in six of their last eight and 9/12 at home.
Bet 2: Villarreal vs Malaga: Villarreal Over 0.5 Goals – £15 at 1/6

An injury crisis of Biblical proportions is sweeping through Malaga at the moment, and they could be without up to TEN of their first team squad here. Oh dear.
That’s bad news for a side that is yet to win away from home in 2016/17, and particularly so as they take on a Villarreal outfit that is excellent on home soil (W7 D2 L2). Malaga haven’t won since November 26, while Villarreal have lost once since the start of December.
Bet 3: Swansea vs Leicester City: Swansea Over 0.5 Goals – £17.50 at 2/7

It is hard to imagine Leicester City ever keeping a clean sheet ever again with a back four of Simpson, Huth, Morgan and Fuchs, and while the club has issued a public backing of Claudio Ranieri this week it is clear something is going very badly wrong at the champions.
No such problems at Swansea, who are proof positive of the good vibes that a change in manager can bring. They have beaten Liverpool and Southampton under Paul Clement and pushed Manchester City all the way in a 1-2 defeat at the weekend. They’ve notched six in their last three as well.
Bet 4: Bournemouth vs Manchester City: Over 0.5 Second Half Goals – £22.50 at 1/8

Bournemouth have now conceded 31 goals in their last 12 Premier League outings, and it would be a shock of the highest order if Monday night’s contest with Manchester City doesn’t descend into a goal fest.
The Cherries have bagged 21 goals themselves in the same period, and with Manchester City still suspect defensively another high-scoring duel is expected.
